Blossom end rot is
a common calcium disorder of tomato crops, especially
those grown during the summer months on flood irrigation.
Water management is critical in calcium nutrition as the
most common cause of calcium deficiency is moisture stress.
High plant nitrogen levels also promote the problem. When
a plant is under moisture stress, calcium uptake is reduced
and water movement and calcium transport to fruit bearing
branches is also restricted. The very low plant mobility
of calcium and its preference for younger shoots means
that tissue analysis is usually a poor indicator of fruit
calcium status.
THE ADVANTAGES OF
LIG-CALCIUM + BORON
- high plant availability of calcium & boron
- rapid leaf uptake & plant utilization
- chelated boron ensures no burning
- inclusion of boron improves calcium uptake & movement
- superior binding properties
- reduced incidence of blossom end rot & better quality fruit
- contains no chloride & low levels of nitrogen
- compatible with fungicides & insecticides
- Australian made
APPLICATION
Field Tomatoes - 2-3
sprays @ 7.5 L/Ha commencing at fruit set and repeated
every 14 days. For high risk crops increase application
rate to 10 L/Ha. Hydroponic Tomatoes - 4-8 sprays @ 1
L/100 L water.
The Potassium Solution For
Tomato Crops
LIG-K + BORON
Potassium is most important
for tomato quality and tonnage, which is why we designed
LIG-K + BORON especially for tomato crops. Potassium produces
sugars that not only increase T.S.S. but also fill and
increase the size of fruit. Potassium also promotes even
ripening and better colour of tomatoes. The role of boron
is twofold. Firstly, boron increases the translocation
of sugars to developing fruit, and secondly, improves
the skin strength and disease resistance of tomatoes.
Balanced nutrition is the key to improving quality without
compromising yield, and potassium is an extremely important
nutrient in this respect.
THE ADVANTAGES OF
LIG-K + BORON
- high plant availability of potassium through leaf
- rapid leaf uptake & translocation to developing fruit
- chelated boron is very safe
- increases sugar levels and yields
- promotes more even ripening
- small particle size & binder enhances canopy penetration
- improves tomato colour & quality
- compatible with fungicides & insecticides
- Australian made product
APPLICATION
Field Tomatoes -Apply three 3 @ at 10L/ Ha. First spray
2 weeks prior to flowering and repeat at 4 week intervals.
Hydroponic Tomatoes - Apply 4-8 sprays @ 1L/100 L water.

The Zinc Solution For Tomato
Crops
LIG-ZINC + MANGANESE
Zinc deficiency is
most common on alkaline soils such as those found in the
Victorian Mallee and South Australian Riverland, however
deficiencies on acid soils are also common. Tomatoes are
a quick growing summer crop with high nutrient demands,
and essential elements need to be supplied quickly to
maintain optimum growth. This is particularly important
with zinc because it is required in the early stages of
plant development for photosynthesis, root and shoot growth
and flowering.
THE ADVANTAGES OF
LIG-ZINC + MANGANESE
- high plant availability through leaf or dripper
- rapid leaf uptake & plant utilization
- chelated zinc ensures no burning or marking
- enhances photosynthesis & early growth of plants
- superior binding properties allows for early application
- improves fruit set & yields
- compatible with LIG-IRON & fungicides & insecticides
- cost affective Australian made product
- more even sized fruit per hand
