The Calcium and Boron Solution For Strawberry Crops
LIG-CALCIUM + BORON
Calcium and boron are the two most important nutrients for fruit quality. Water management is critical in calcium nutrition as the most common cause of calcium deficiency is moisture stress. When a plant is under moisture stress, calcium uptake is reduced and water movement and calcium transport to fruit is also restricted. High soil nitrogen levels (ie. Queensland) inhibit calcium and boron uptake and promote shoot growth and causes soft berries. The very low plant mobility of calcium and boron makes deficiencies common under fast growing conditions where nutrient imbalances occur. Tissue analysis is usually a poor indicator of fruit calcium status.
THE ADVANTAGES OF LIG-CALCIUM + BORON

- high plant availability of calcium & boron
- rapid leaf uptake & plant utilization
- chelated boron ensures no burning
- inclusion of boron improves calcium uptake & movement
- superior binding properties
- reduced incidence of soft berries & better quality fruit
- contains no chloride & low levels of nitrogen
- compatible with fungicides & insecticides
- Australian made
APPLICATION
Strawberry Crops - apply 7.5 L/Ha every 14 days. For high risk crops increase application rate to 10 L/Ha.

The Magnesium Solution For Strawberries
LIG-MAGNESIUM
The importance of magnesium for photosynthesis is well known and magnesium deficient plants are usually stunted and poor producers. High levels of ammonium nitrogen and potassium in the soil reduces magnesium uptake and the production of runners during fruiting also diverts magnesium and potassium away from fruit production. Magnesium like potassium is also quickly absorbed and translocated by the leaves and therefore foliar application is very effective. Magnesium is also very important for sugar production and berry colour.
THE ADVANTAGES OF LIG-MAGNESIUM

- high plant availability through leaf
- rapid uptake & plant utilization
- increases sugar production
- maximizes photosynthesis & growth
- improves berry colour & quality
- small particle size & binder improves canopy penetration
- compatible with fungicides & insecticides
- Australian made product
APPLICATION
Strawberries - apply @ 10 L/Ha during the growing season as often as required

The Potassium Solution For Strawberries
LIG-K + BORON
Potassium is most important for strawberry quality and size, and offsets the harmful effects of high plant nitrogen levels on berry quality. Potassium produces sugars that fill berries and increase yields, whereas nitrogen tends to ‘blow up’ the berries and significantly reduce quality. Potassium also promotes even ripening and better colour of strawberries. The inclusion of boron is most beneficial in strawberry production due to its vital role in flowering. Also boron increases the translocation of sugars to developing fruit and improves the skin strength and disease resistance of berries. Balanced nutrition is the key to improving quality without compromising yield, and potassium is an extremely important nutrient in this respect.
THE ADVANTAGES OF LIG-K + BORON

- high plant availability of potassium through leaf
- rapid leaf uptake & translocation to developing fruit
- chelated boron is very safe & improves flowering
- increases sugar levels and yields
- promotes more even ripening
- small particle size & binder enhances canopy penetration
- improves berry size & quality
- compatible with fungicides & insecticides
- Australian made product
APPLICATION

Strawberries - apply 5-10 L/Ha every 2 weeks. Use the higher rate during the hotter months especially in Queensland.

The Zinc Solution For Strawberry Crops
LIG-ZINC + MANGANESE
Most Australian soils are low in zinc and this is why zinc is the most limiting trace element in Australian agriculture. Strawberry crops are most likely to suffer zinc deficiency when growing conditions are optimum and fruit production is high. Large applications of lime on acid soils will reduce zinc availability in the short to medium term and may induce deficiencies. Zinc is required by the plant to produce growth promoting hormones such as gibberellic acid that increases the size and length of berries. Zinc is also essential for even fruit set and photosynthesis and has a primary role in the disease resistance mechanisms of the plant. Zinc produces plant hormones (auxins) that restrict plant vigour during reproduction, however high levels of plant nitrogen at this time inhibit the production of these hormones and therefore reduce yields.
THE ADVANTAGES OF LIG-ZINC + MANGANESE

- high plant availability of zinc through leaf or soil
- rapid leaf uptake & plant utilization
- chelated zinc is very safe & ensures no burning or marking
- better photosynthesis & optimum growth of plants
- superior binding properties compliments cover sprays
- improves fruit set & produces larger berries
- compatible with fungicides & pesticides
- low cost Australian made product
APPLICATION
Strawberry Crops - apply 4 L/Ha every two weeks.
