| The Calcium Solution For
Olive Crops |
| LIG-CALCIUM + BORON
|
| Essential for the formation,
stabilization, strength and integrity of cell walls and
membranes. A deficiency of calcium and boron will reduce
fruit firmness, sweetness and disease resistance. Calcium
improves storage life because it inhibits the production
of ethylene, a gas produced by fruit to accelerate ripening.
Boron is vital for flowering, calcium uptake and movement
and the transport of plant sugars to developing fruit.
The major cause of calcium and boron deficiencies is moisture
stress, and during hot weather this is usually accentuated
by a large release of plant available nitrogen. Under
these conditions, root uptake of calcium and boron is
reduced and these nutrients are diverted away from developing
fruit into the new shoot growth created by the release
of extra soil nitrogen. |
| THE ADVANTAGES OF
LIG-CALCIUM + BORON |
|
- high plant availability of calcium & boron
- rapid leaf uptake & plant utilization
- chelated boron ensures no burning
- inclusion of boron improves calcium uptake & movement
- superior binding properties
- better fruit set and yields
- increased firmness and storage life of fruit
- contains no chloride & low levels of nitrogen
- compatible with fungicides & insecticides
- Australian made
|
| APPLICATION |
| Olives – Apply 5 L/Ha
2-3 weeks prior to flowering and two more sprays after
flowering, four weeks apart. |

| The Foliar Zinc Solution
For Olive Crops |
| LIG-ZINC + MANGANESE |
| The two most important
factors for olive production are good soil drainage and
correct climate. When you have these you will also get
the best out of your nutrition program. Zinc is the most
limiting trace element in Australian Agriculture and deficiencies
are most common on alkaline soils due to the low availability
of zinc at high pH. Deficiencies may also occur on leached
sandy acid soils or after liming. Zinc is essential for
photosynthesis, sugar production, disease resistance and
the formation of plant growth hormones. Deficiencies usually
result in poor early vigour and uneven fruit set. Plant
zinc requirements are greatest during early growth and
flowering so it is essential to apply zinc as early as
possible for optimum effectiveness. |
| THE ADVANTAGES OF
LIG-ZINC + MANGANESE |
|
- high plant availability through leaf or dripper
- rapid leaf uptake & plant utilization
- chelated zinc ensures no burning
- enhances photosynthesis & early growth
- superior binding properties allows early application
-more even fruit set
- increases yields
- compatible with LIG-IRON, fungicides & insecticides
- cost effective Australian made product
|
| APPLICATION |
| Olives – Apply two
sprays @ 2 L/Ha prior to flowering. In South Australia
apply an additional spray @ 4 L/Ha prior to flowering |

| The Potassium Solution For
Olive Crops |
| LIG-K + BORON |
| Potassium is required
in the later stages of growth for even ripening and also
increases the size and weight of melons. Potassium deficiency
inhibits the formation of proteins and causes an accumulation
of soluble nitrogen compounds that cause berry splitting.
After flowering it is important to increase potassium
supply and reduce nitrogen application. Potassium improves
weight and size of fruit via sugar production and increased
transport of nutrients and sugars from leaves to fruit.
Plants with good levels of potassium are also more tolerant
of moisture stress, and this is advantageous for calcium
and boron uptake. The inclusion of boron assists flowering
and improves uptake and movement of calcium for optimum
fruit quality. |
| THE ADVANTAGES OF
LIG-K + BORON |
|
- high plant availability of potassium through leaf
- rapid leaf uptake & translocation to developing fruit
- chelated boron is very safe
- increases weight and size of fruit
- promotes even fruit development
- binding properties enhance cover spray effectiveness
- improves fruit quality & yield
- compatible with fungicides & insecticides
- Australian made product
|
| APPLICATION |
| Olives – Apply 5 L/Ha
three weeks prior to flowering and 1-2 sprays after flowering |

| The Trace Elelment Solution
For Olive Crops |
| LIG-BALANCE |
| Much of Australia's
horticulture industry is concentrated in areas where calcareous
and high pH soils induce nutrient deficiencies such as
zinc, manganese, boron and iron that can significantly
reduce crop growth, yield and quality. Even on many acid
soils, olive growers are applying large quantities of
lime that can reduce nutrient availability in the short
to medium term life of the crop. This is further compounded
by the naturally low levels of nutrients in the lighter
soils often chosen for olive production. While most olive
varieties grow well in nutrient poor soils, growth is
usually very slow and production per tree is quite low.
Trace elements in combination with a good major nutrient
(N, P, K) program will significantly improve growth, yields
and fruit quality and produce healthier trees that give
you a quicker return on your investment. |
| THE ADVANTAGES OF
LIG-BALANCE |
|
- chelated nutrients with high plant availability through leaf & soil
- rapid plant uptake & utilization
- contains all essential trace elements plus magnesium & sulphur
- can be used as a maintenance spray or to correct deficiencies
- promotes more even development
- small particle size & binder enhances leaf penetration
and rain-fastness
- improves the growth, yields & quality of olive crops
- compatible with fungicides & insecticides
- Australian made product
|
| APPLICATION |
| Olives - prior to flowering
apply 1-2 sprays @ 2 L/ha and repeat after flowering as
required. For young trees apply 200 mL/100 L water with
VIGOR-LIG PLUS @ 400 mL/100 L water every 3-4 weeks during
the growing season. |
